Difficult to find a more refreshing place within LA County (aside from The Getty and The Getty Villa which are close runner-ups). I fell in love with this botanical garden from my first visit and have never been let down. This gem is a must-see LA attraction as it will never cease to amaze. From the library to the strolls through the exotic collections, one always leaves with a sense of awe and curiosity. If you are a local as I once was (and will be so once again in July) the yearly membership is without a doubt worth the expense. I've taken cooking classes, gardening courses and have enjoyed many member-exclusive events through that pass, not to mention the guest passes that come with it! Between the Huntington Library and the New York Botanical Garden I cannot think of better gardens in the entire US!

A destination attraction. I came here 25yrs ago and was bored. This time everything held my interest. I couldn't see everything at once. I definitely will come back. The Japanese garden is highlight, the home, the library, the grounds. Really a spectacular place.

I truly enjoyed visiting The Huntington Library. The staff was genuinely friendly and knowledgeable. The property is huge so definitely plan accordingly. Rose Garden was my favorite spot on the grounds. Just as you exit the Japanese garden through an archway, your nose becomes intoxicated with the aroma of fresh roses. Tea Room just off to the side of Rose Garden makes for a cute little day date. The art collection features a lot of American colonial era style art, but also includes a few modern pieces. Arrive early to enjoy the park alone for a while (makes you feel like you own the place)

I'm in absolute amazement from this place. The gardens are just stunning. I can't believe that in 4 years of me living in Pasadena I never visited this place. Finally while visiting friends in LA and Pasadena I managed to spend a day at this incredibly inspiring, relaxing, and overall magical place. I really enjoyed the special exhibition on botanical illustrations from South America.

Very pleasant experience and some great scenery. The food was bit pricey, but very good. The gardens were elegant and had many photo opportunities. The price to get in was relatively cheap if you go often. I bought the membership which gets you discounts at the local restaurants inside.
